The Oak Hammock League of Women Voters is a unit of the Alachua County League of Women Voters. This organization promotes voter education and participation in elections, is non-partisan, and presents the pros and cons of political issues. After careful study and consensus the League takes action on some issues. It is a national organization which has state Leagues and local Leagues.
The League welcomes both men and women over the age of 18.
The Oak Hammock unit of the League of Women Voters offers members at Oak Hammock the opportunity to participate without leaving the campus. Meetings on LWV study topics, discussions with elected representatives and candidates' forums all take place here at Oak Hammock. League members are also invited and encouraged to participate in all activities of the Alachua County League.
The Oak Hammock unit meets once a month with an informative program.
