The course will help you appreciate America’s multicultural and multiracial society and

learn how different ethnic, racial and religious groups celebrate their heritage. It intro-

duces the concept of heritage studies, origins and evolution,

problems and prospects, and challenges and contributions of

six groups.

January 29 - Native American Heritage Month

Speaker: Dr. Charlie Cobb & Dr. Amanda Hall, UF Museum of Natural History

February 5 - Black History Month & Juneteenth

Speaker: Dr. David Canton, Director, UF African American Studies Program

February 12-International Day for People of African Descent
