This is a group of Members who have an interest in the needle arts, such as sewing, embroidery, crocheting, quilting, and knitting. All Oak Hammock Members are welcome to join the group. Oak Hammock Members may use the room and equipment and supplies stored there at any time. Before using one of the sewing machines, please get instructions on the use of that machine to prevent problems and possible damage. The Needlers display projects and needlework objects in the glass cases in the Lower Level hall outside the Needle Arts Room. Please record your name in the sign-in book, so that room usage can be tracked.
The Needlers meet regularly at 3:30 p.m. each Thursday afternoon; a quilting group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. Another group knits/crochets “preemie” hats and blankets for Shands Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
