Oak Hammock Singers is a group of about 60 members who love to sing! Exceptional voices are not required; music reading ability is not required. If you enjoy singing you should join us. We meet every Monday in the Oak Room at 4:00 (the calendar says 3:30 so you have a chance to get to know folks as well as not being late!) although we do take a short break after July 4. We usually perform one or two concerts a year; a beautiful and traditional sing-along on the commons stairs at Christmas, and sing-alongs for patriotic occasions. Research has shown that singing is exceptionally good for people with respiratory problems, alleviates pain, and keeps you fit. What better way is there to get the benefits of exercise without the hard work?
